1. International Sonothrombolysis Conference Mannheim / Heidelberg, Germany (4 - 5, 07, 2008): This will be the first joint meeting of a group of international experts from key fields of acute stroke treatment, acoustics, therapeutic ultrasound, equipment design, thrombolytic agents and microbubbles to discuss new and future developments in sonothrombolysis. Lectures will be given on subjects such as mechanisms of sonothrombolysis, new developments in micro- and nanobubbles, stable and inertial cavitations, drug-device combinations, experimental models, safety aspects, targeted thrombolysis, adjunct therapies and ongoing clinical trials.
   
   Industry will be given the opportunity to present the latest diagnostic and therapeutic concepts as well as recent product developments. Exhibition stands, lunch lectures and satellite symposiums are planned.

   	“The Signs of Death" Pontificiae Academiae Scientiarum Scripta Varia 110 Vatican City 2007 This is an important book and contains two chapters which have been written by the Directors of Neurology of the University of Heidelberg. Prof.Werner Hacke from Heidelberg and Prof. Michael G. Hennerici from Mannheim.
   	“Churchill's In Clinical Practice Series: Stroke (Churchill's In Clinical Practice)" January, 2006 Churchill Livingstone This book, which is written by leading world authorities (Michael Hennerici, Julien Bogousslavsky and Ralph Sacco) in stroke medicine, provides valuable up-to-date information on key areas of interest and debate in clinical practice. The book also contains a list of relevant drugs, with information on doses, efficacy and side effects.
