  1. International Sonothrombolysis Conference Mannheim / Heidelberg, Germany (4 - 5, 07, 2008): This will be the first joint meeting of a group of international experts from key fields of acute stroke treatment, acoustics, therapeutic ultrasound, equipment design, thrombolytic agents and microbubbles to discuss new and future developments in sonothrombolysis. Lectures will be given on subjects such as mechanisms of sonothrombolysis, new developments in micro- and nanobubbles, stable and inertial cavitations, drug-device combinations, experimental models, safety aspects, targeted thrombolysis, adjunct therapies and ongoing clinical trials.

    Industry will be given the opportunity to present the latest diagnostic and therapeutic concepts as well as recent product developments. Exhibition stands, lunch lectures and satellite symposiums are planned.
